The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Services, Bureau of Public Health had issued a boil water advisory.
Residents in the area from the water plant to Route 16, River Road, are cautioned to bring any water used from cooking, drinking or hygienic purposes to a full rolling boil for at least one minute. The water should then be allowed to cool before use.
