Just getting by has been the goal for thousands still without power from June 29th severe storm system.

Daryl Rowee is a Salvation Army employee from Hagerstown Maryland who has been stationed in Raleigh County for more than a week. "It doesn't matter how big or small it is when you have a disaster in your life you loose something it's gone," said Rowee.

Trading Places made a stop at Trap Hill Middle School where along with Rowee was American Red Cross, volunteers, and 59News anchor Lauren Weppler helping those who are without.

Weppler helped clean up from breakfast and get ready for lunch. She also carried out cases of water for people who still don't even have water turned back on.

Brian Summers was there with his family getting water to stay cool and hydrated from the heat, "It was real bad there the first couple of days, and hopefully it will work out alright."

After Weppler loaded up Summers' car with bottled water she went to serve up lunch.

Rowee told Weppler during her time at the school, "you meet all kinds of people some are a lot of enjoyable moments and then there is some which make your shoulder wet but it's a great feeling all said and done."
