Concussions Appear to be Increasing in College Football Players

Walter Reed National Military Medical Center monitored the rate of concussions in three college football programs from 2009 to 2011.

Head injuries doubled during that time.

In 2010 the National College Athletic Association began requiring athletic programs to report signs and symptoms of concussions and remove injured players from the game.
