Authorities at the Beckley Correctional Facility are searching for a missing inmate. Joshua Greenwood was reported missing late Monday night. Guards say he was unaccounted for in a 10:15 p.m. head count.

The Higher Learning Commission ruled to pull Mountain State University's accreditation after more than a year of being under review. School leaders said they will be appealing the decision by the HLC.
Many maybe wondering if any other universities and colleges have been through a similar situation Mountain State University is currently in and regaining their accreditation.
John Hausaman is the Process Administration of Public Information for the Higher Learning Commission. Hausaman said "first, I need to emphasize that each institutional case is taken at its own merit, so it is not helpful to try and predict outcomes based on past cases."
Hausaman went on to say the Commission has withdrawn accreditation from Lewis College of Business of Michigan and Ellis University of Illinois.
According to Hausaman Lewis College of Business was not successful in its appeal, and Ellis University did not appeal.
