FAYETTEVILLE -
The next time you have an encounter with a Fayette County
Sheriff's Deputy, you might think you're seeing double.
Identical twins Ethan and Aaron Shrewsbury are the latest
hires of the Sheriff's Office.
The brothers both graduated from Midland
Trail High School
in 2010. Both serve in the National Guard, and they were both previously
training as EMT's.
What's even better is that with the Shrewsbury
brothers on the force, the Sheriff's office will fully staffed for the first
time in 10 years.
"It'll be a little bit before it's noticed because the
gentlemen have to go to the state police academy," said Sheriff Steve Kessler. "I
have 1 in the academy and 3 more to go. Hopefully, we can get that done within
the next 3 to 4 months, and then we'll have these guys on the road full time."
Kessler says that fully staffing detachments in the rural
parts of Fayette County
has been a priority for his department.
He's not yet sure how he's going to tell Ethan and Aaron apart.
