RALEIGH COUNTY -

From massive power outages to everyday emergencies, last month's wild wind storm left Raleigh County's Emergency Services very busy.

Officials say teamwork helped them through the chaotic time, especially when gas was mostly not available in Southern West Virginia.

"Raleigh County Sheriff's Department was a class act during the power outages. Officials took gas out to stranded people and brought them to shelters," said Raleigh County Emergency Manager Mark Wilson.

Wilson also said Raleigh County Sheriff Steve Tanner and some of his deputies also delivered food and water to storm victims.
