A sharp increase in the number of meth labs over the past few months is bringing a call to action by all law enforcement agencies in parts of our area.

One local nonprofit is getting a financial boost.
The County Commission of Raleigh County approved a grant for the Pine Haven homeless shelter.
This shelter is ran by Raleigh County Community action and the Commission is pleased to give them more funding to help those in our area in need.
"It is funded and operated by the Raleigh County Community action and is used to set-up as a place for those who are less fortunate and in need. It was approved today and hopefully it will help in that endeavor," John Aliff, Raleigh County Commissioner said.
The grant will help the Pine Haven homeless shelter remain in operation and continue serving those in need in Raleigh County.
