Shady Spring Little League Donates Thousands to Hospice of Southern WV

Thursday's rain didn't keep a group of little league players in Raleigh County from giving back in a big way.

Shady Spring Little League presented a check for $3,246 to Hospice of Southern West Virginia Thursday.

The funds were raised through PAL Card sales, and will go to assist Hospice with providing care to patients living with a life-limiting illness.

"We survive because of the community support," Hospice Development Director Aaron Housh explained, "and it's just wonderful that our community supports us, and even better when it's a place like Shady Spring Little League, which does such a great thing for the kids in this community and then they choose to give back to us."

Fundraising Coordinator Daniel McPeake said they chose Hospice of Southern West Virginia because of all they do in the community

This is the second year Shady Spring Little League has donated to Hospice.
