The original cast of the "Rocket Boys" musical is hitting the studio.
Cast members were green-lighted by Homer Hickam and Universal Studios to produce an album based on songs from the musical.
The performers are working out of The School of Harmony and are bringing the musical back here in Southern West Virginia this August... but they have even bigger dreams for the show.
"The hopes and dreams for this show are boundless because of course we want it to land on Broadway but that's not actually the ultimate place for it I think,. Once it gets to Broadway then it will be able to be seen by theatres and students and teachers and audiences all across America," Carl Anthony Traon a "Rocket Boys" performer said.
The show will run August 1st through August 16th.
After that the cast is headed to California and hopefully Broadway.
