A million dollars is on the way to help with improvements at the Greenbrier Valley Airport.

The Federal Aviation Administration awarded the grant to the Greenbrier County airport authority to improve and expand its terminal building.

Leaders will also buy equipment to help during inclement weather.

The grant reimburses the airport for additional expenses during its renovation.

The grant also will be used to modify public rest rooms and install new flooring, ceiling and interior walls in public areas and provide for enhanced handicap accessibility.

On August 1st, it will begin offering daily flights to Atlanta and Washington.
