State officials are proposing raising various taxes, including those on cigarettes, in order to raise money to repair the damaged highways.
Shortly before the storms hit in the last week of June,
someone vandalized a vending machine in the New River
Gorge National River
area and authorities are asking the public to help identify the suspect.
Surveillance video shows what appears to be a white male,
prying he front of a soda machine and pulling away in a light-colored sedan.
Officials with the National Park Service say that he managed
to do approximately $2,500 worth of damage, and are asking for anyone who may
have information about the crime to contact authorities, or to call Crime
