Crews from Beckley Crane and Construction have completed delivery and installation of the Upper Big Branch monument in Whitesville on Wednesday, July 18th and the finishing touches are under way.
There are some of the photos of the completed works. But the monument isn't finished just yet.
Workers with the project say a final touch-up and the placement of coal from the UBB mine around the monument and entrance sign are the final tasks that need to be completed.
The monument will remain uncovered until Sunday so people can get a first look at the memorial.It will be covered on Sunday afternoon and will remain covered until the dedication ceremony on Friday, July 27th.
