Princeton Rays baseball players are giving back to the community.

The athletes volunteered their time Thursday at various Grant's supermarket locations to bag groceries.

They are also collecting donations for the Tender Mercies Food Pantry in Princeton.

"It's actually really exciting to get out here," Zach Butler, a Princeton Rays pitcher, said. "They come out and support us all the time, so it gives us a sense of pride coming out here and helping these people out and just doing something for the community."

The players will be bagging groceries at Grant's supermarkets in Green Valley and Glenwood Friday morning.
