One day after being limited to just two runs, Princeton rebounded with an offensive explosion in a 9-7 win over Bluefield at Hunnicutt Field.
Andrew Toles and Ariel Soriano both hit homers for the Rays. Toles and Brandon Martin paced the team with three RBI. On the mound, Blake Snell entered the contest with a 0.84 ERA, but gave up five earned runs in just three innings. Randy Davis earned the win and Nick Sawyer recorded the save.
Seth Conner and Matt Dean each went yard and combined to drive in five runs for the Jays. Denny Valdez pitched just 0.1 innings but recorded the loss after giving up three hits and four earned runs.
With the win, Princeton improves to 18-18 while Bluefield drops to 15-18. The two will wrap up the series on Saturday at 7:05 p.m.
