Belittling Children Could Lead to Long-term Trauma

Child abuse experts said children who are psychologically abused can be just as traumatized as those who are physically abused.

The study in the journal Pediatrics finds psychological mistreatment is the most prevalent form of child abuse.

Experts said neglecting, terrorizing or belittling a child can make them feel worthless and unloved.
