A team of scientists led by researchers at Mount Sinai School of Medicine found the drug Dimebon effectively stopped the progression of memory deterioration and brain pathology in mice with early stage Alzheimer's.

The findings published in Molecular Psychiatry could lead to clinical trials in human patients in the early stages of the disease.
