Pat Carter, 2 others tied for 1st at W.Va. Amateur

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS -

Pat Carter will have the chance to secure his 13th West Virginia Amateur title on Thursday.
    
Carter is tied with Marshall golfer Jeremy Rogers and Bridgeport's Jay Woodward at 1-over par following Wednesday's third round at The Greenbrier resort.
    
Carter hasn't won the Amateur since 2006. The Huntington golfer is second all-time behind Bill Campbell's 15 wins.
    
Rogers shot a 2-under 70 on the Greenbrier Course. Carter had a 71 and Woodward a 72.
    
Oak Hill's Winston Canada, the second-round co-leader with Woodward, is two strokes back after shooting 74.
    
Hurricane's Brian Anania had two eagles and four birdies in a span of 10 holes. He shot 6-under 66 to vault into fifth place at 4 over.
    
Scott Depot's Chris Williams shot 75 and is 5 over.
