LEWISBURG -
The Lewisburg Literary Festival is making its debut this weekend.
One of the many things showcased all across town is something called yarn bombing.
Volunteers were knitting sweaters for trees, bicycles and benches today for the event.
The festival will showcase local art but every piece also has a narrative to explain it.
Volunteer Cece Graham said, "I think people are going to wonder what the heck's going on I think they'll think we're a bunch of crazy people out here. But tomorrow night is First Fridays and there will be a lot of people here. I think they will like it and it will be a good talking piece."
The Literary Festival kicks off tomorrow night during First Friday's in Lewisburg and lasts though Saturday.
They will also have book readings, lectures from famous authors such as Homer Hickam, and free activities for children.
