The Miners already have clinched a playoff spot after winning the first half of the season, but that didn't stop West Virginia from sticking it to rival, and second place, Chillicothe.

The Miners used offense and defense to win, 7-1.

Clayton Prestridge drove in two runs and scored two more in the victory.

On the mound, starter Sam Lewis pitched seven solid innings, striking out 10 and giving up just four hits.

With the win, West Virginia improves to 15-8 in the second half of the season and 36-17 overall. The Paints fall to 15-11 in the second half and 33-23 overall. The two wrap up the season on Friday at 7:05 p.m.
