Blood Pressure Medications Linked to Lip Cancer

People who use long term blood pressure medications may be at greater risk for developing lip cancer.

The Kaiser Permanente study finds that drugs such as Nifedipine and Hydrochlorothiazide cannot only make a patient sensitive to sunlight but can increase the risk for cancer in the outer most layers of their lips and skin.

However, researchers said the benefits of the blood pressure drugs outweigh any risk.
