MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) -

State education leaders have launched a web site aimed at helping children of military families and other students.

The website offers links to student leadership opportunities, career counseling and resources for families. It also includes a speaker series on topics such as bullying, substance abuse, drop-out and suicide prevention, and the history of the American flag.

Education and military leaders formed the Common Ground mentoring partnership last year. Education officials say there are about 7,200 children in West Virginia who have one direct family member in the military.
