The Beckley Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center's Rural Health Team will be sponsoring a Veterans Eligibility and Enrollment Fair at the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center on Saturday.
Veterans and their families are encouraged to learn about veterans health benefits and expanding services within the Beckley VAMC, as well as services from some of their community partners.
"We're out there all the time to where the veterans are in our community. All the time we go to senior centers and get out there to try to get the veterans to know about the opportunities available to them," said Rebecca Trent, VA Rural Health Public Affairs officer.
In addition, there will be a nurse and dietitian from the Rural Health Team to provide information related to diabetes, hypertension, and weight management.
