Six Famiilies File Suit Over W.Va. Vaccine Requirements

Posted: Updated:

Six families are suing the state department of health and human resources.

They feel the agency can't force them to comply with new vaccine requirements for school children.

Starting this fall, 7th and 12th graders must be vaccinated for tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis and meningitis.

If they're not, they can't go to public schools.

The lawsuit says the DHHR over stepped its authority.
