    JACKSONVILLE -- A Mercer County woman was killed in an accident in Jacksonville FL early Saturday morning. According to police Kimberly Gillespie had stopped her vehicle in the center lane of I-95 going Northbound in Jacksonville when she was hit by an approaching vehicle, and ejecting Gillespie from her vehicle. After she was ejected, two more vehicles ran over her body. Police say the oncoming vehicles did not see Gillespie due to poor lighting. She was pronounced dead at the scene.Gillespi...

The Boy Scouts of America want to use their new facility in Fayette County to host a number of events, but they can't do so without losing their tax-exempt status.

They are now lobbying to change this rule and our lawmakers should put this on the ballot.  Anyone who knows anything about the The Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve knows that it's going to be a game changer, why not give them an opportunity to maximize their investment in every way?

This is the kind of economic development most states dream about, let's show the boy scouts we are on their side.
