Midland Trail head coach Joe Dean thinks this year is going to be a good one for the Patriots.
"They're going to come ready to play. They're going to play til the whistle blows, and hopefully we're going to be a very physical football team," Dean said.
Trail went 2-8 last season, but both wins came in the second half of the year.
The Patriots open the season on Friday at Independence.
