School has started in our area and I hope our teachers and educational leaders do all they can to challenge and motivate our young people.

They seem to have the right idea at Buffalo High School, which has been given some leeway by the state to try out new, innovative programs in an effort to improve student achievement.

If we're going to have any chance at a better West Virginia, we need an education that truly prepares our kids for life in the 21st Century.
