LEWISBURG -

A Greenbrier County man will spend 15-45 years in prison following his sentencing for 2 different sexual abuse charges by the Greenbrier County Circuit Court on Monday, August 27.

Aaron Jamaal Sanback, 25, of Rainelle pleaded guilty to 1 charge each of Sexual Abuse by a Parent or Guardian and Sexual Abuse in the 1st Degree. As part of the plea agreement, Stanback waived his right to a pre-sentencing investigation report. He was indicted in June 2012.

The Sexual Abuse by a Parent or Guardian charge incurred a sentence of 10-20 years in prison and the Sexual Abuse in the 1st degree charge brought a sentence of 5-25 years. The sentences, which were the maximum permitted by law, will be served consecutively. Additionally, Stanback will be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

"Mr. Stanback's crimes clearly justified the prison sentences he received," said Greenbrier County Prosecuting Attorney Patrick I. Via. "The plea agreement…required that he give up his right to request any lesser or alternative sentence."

The initial investigation into the case was conducted by Cpl. R.D. Baker of the Greenbrier Count Sheriff's Department, with participation of the Greenbrier County Multi-Disciplinary Investigative Team.
