Raleigh County Man gets Prison Time for Breaking into Fairdale Post Office

BECKLEY -

A Raleigh County man will spend eight years in federal prison for burglarizing a federal post office, according to a news release from U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin.

Benjamin Webb, 39 of Beckley, previously pleaded guilty in May.

Webb admitted to breaking into the Fairdale Post Office in 2011.  He did so with the help of his co-defendant Timothy Taylor, 31, authorities said.

The men stole packages that were filled with bath salts, authorities said.

In addition to the eight months behind bars, Webb will have three years of supervised release and pay $1,200 in restitution.

Timothy Taylor was convicted by a jury last week in connection to the crime. He will be sentenced on January 10th.
