WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS -

Let's get now to Labor Day tradition in Greenbrier County that is over 60 years old.

The Saint Thomas Episcopal Church has been holding a labor day fair since the 1930.

Organizer Phebe Gillespie tells 59 News this is a community event the entire town takes pride in.

"They see it is interesting and they stop by and folks are delighted they are able to have a nice lunch. They join in. So we get a lot of people here in main street and we get a lot of people who are camping who are coming and going. So they love to have something on labor day when all the stores are closed," Phebe Gillespie, Organizer said.

The cash raised at the Labor Day fair is put back into the community.

Gillespie said the money pays for the church's outreach ministries.
