Emergency responders were called to the scene of a train accident on Monday, May 20. A person was apparently hit by a CSX train in a remote part of Fayette County. The call came in at around 1:30 p.m.
The victim was apparently covering her head with a blanket to shelter from the heavy rain storms.

Authorities at the Beckley Correctional Facility are searching for a missing inmate. Joshua Greenwood was reported missing late Monday night. Guards say he was unaccounted for in a 10:15 p.m. head count.

Money raised helps update technology, pay for renovations, guest speakers and many other projects that benefit people who visit the library.
The book sale runs through Saturday at the main location on North Kanawha Street in Beckley.
You can stop by 9 a.m.-5 p.m. through Thursday and 9 a.m. -4 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
