    Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin is offering West Virginia's emergency response resources to Oklahoma officials following this week's deadly tornado.

The West Virginia Education Association-Political Action Committee recently released its list of candidates it has endorsed for the Nov. 6 election.

The WVEA-PAC is the independent, political arm of the WVEA, which is the state's largest teacher organization.

"WVEA-PAC believes, based on past performances and responses to interview questions, these candidates are advocates for education and for children," WVEA-PAC Chairman Dale Lee said in a news release. "These candidates share our commitment to improving education in West Virginia."

The candidates include:

  • U.S. Senate – incumbent Joe Manchin (D)
  • U.S. Congress, District 2 – Howard Swint (D)
  • U.S. Congress, District 3 – incumbent Nick J. Rahall (D)
  • Governor – incumbent Earl Ray Tomblin (D)
  • Auditor – incumbent Glen Gainer (D)
  • Secretary of State – incumbent Natalie Tennant (D)
  • Attorney General – incumbent Darrell McGraw (D)
  • State Treasurer – incumbent John Perdue (D)
  • Supreme Court of Appeals – Letitia "Tish" Chafin (D) and incumbent Robin Jean Davis (D)
