BECKELY -

The United Way has one ambitious goal this year!

Due to an overwhelming need to fund social service organizations in our area the United Way is hoping to raise a half-million dollars!

Margaret O'Neal, with the United Way said they are entering into the prime months of their campaign. She said even the smallest donation will help them reach their goal.

"The goal is huge and it is the first time in southern West Virginia we turned to raise a half a million dollars and our community is great. they traditionally try and step up to the goal and the needs that we see and they see in the community and that we ask them to help with," Margaret O'Neal, United Way Executive Dir.

They are plenty of ways to make a donation.

Folks can work out a pay roll deduction and in October, the United Way is gearing up for denim for a dollar. If you pay a buck, you get to wear jeans to work.
