With about a month to go until tens-of-thousands Boy Scouts and their families will be touching down in the mountain state for the National Jamboree, the National Park Service is busy training volunteers. 59News
Tamaracks weekly concert series continues today with the band "Legacy."
Started by husband and wife, Steve and Trinia Payne the group is a gospel string band.
According to program coordinator Kelly Elkins, the band's gospel music is rooted in the mountain state's rich Appalachian history.
"They bring a Appalachian gospel feel to the stage and we need to embrace our heritage with some Appalachian music and it starts with gospel music. so they will be doing some Appalachian and gospel songs," Kelly Elkins, Program Coordinator said.
Tamarack at two is a weekly concert series featuring artists from across the state.
Admission is free and the performances are every Sunday at two.
