West Virginians thanked for Day to Serve efforts

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -

Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin says West Virginians participated in more than 420 community improvement projects across the state during the Governor's Day to Serve.

The statewide volunteer service day was observed on Saturday.

On Monday, the governor and first lady Joanne Jaeger Tomblin thanked those who organized and participated in the projects.
