Beckley Shooting Suspect Turns Himself In

The juvenile wanted in the October 3rd Hager Street shooting in Beckley has turned himself in to the Beckley Police Department.

Beckley Detective Corporal M.G. Bragg said the 17-year-old turned himself in around 1 p.m. Monday.

The minor and another suspect, Davin Thorton, are wanted in the shooting of Jamar Panell.

Panell is in stable condition at a Charleston hospital recovering from injuries to his kidney and leg.

The 17-year-old suspect is being held in a juvenile detention center pending a detention hearing.

Police are still looking for Thorton.
