Reds still undecided on Cueto if there's Game 4

CINCINNATI (AP) -

The Reds aren't sure whether Johnny Cueto would be available to pitch if their playoff series against the Giants goes to a Game 4.

The right-hander had to leave the first inning of the NL division series opener Saturday in San Francisco with a sore back. The Reds have a chance to sweep Tuesday night at Great American Ball Park.

If they lose, the Reds would prefer to start Cueto in Game 4. Manager Dusty Baker said Tuesday it's unclear if Cueto will be healthy enough to pitch.

There are other options, including adding right-hander Mike Leake to the roster. But that would make Cueto unavailable to pitch in a league championship series.
