QUINWOOD -
The heavy snow from this week's blizzard could be putting you and your family in danger without you ever even realizing it.
As it piles on your roof.. There is a possibility it could collapse.
One man in Greenbrier County knows first hand.
Hubert Hatfield said, "We've been having a pretty tough time in here trying to get the cows fed in three feet of snow."
Hatfield thought his blizzard problems were just about over when he was clearing his driveway and heard sound of his garage caving in.
He said, "We thought we hit something down there with the loader when I looked up here and saw the garage fell in."
There was almost three feet of snow piled on top of the Hatfield's metal garage.
And yesterday, the weight of all that snow melting was too much for it to handle.
Hatfield said, "Yeah I'm thinking of building one out of wood this time, I don't think the metal one is standing up to three feet of snow."
And he's not the only one in Quinwood that's still dealing with snow problems.
People were out shoveling feet of snow from their driveways.
Susie Harman came to Quinwood from Princeton to check on her mother, but said although her mom was literally snow into her house, she knew she was safe.
Harman said, "I don't really worry about my mom here because she does have friends that come take care of her and everybody works together as a community."
Experts say if you hear cracking or popping or see that your roof is sagging you need to evacuate and call 911.
Other things to look for are small water leaks.
This is a sign that moisture, snow or ice has gotten up under the shingles.
