One by one, the lights of Wyoming County are coming back on.

Thousands of people were left without power in the area at the height of super storm Sandy.

Although that number is down to 600, tensions were running high and patience running low on Monday.

"Everybody in Wyoming County has come together to weather the storm and things are starting to get back to normal," said President of the Wyoming County Commission Silas Mullins.

Help has not arrived for everyone though.

According to Wyoming County Recycling Manager David Church, electrical workers have been unable to reach their facility located above Pineville.

He said it may take days or even weeks before help arrives. "We can stay open, we have a balance scale and we can use it, But we can't process anything. Once power comes back on, "we're going to be covered up," said Church.

According to AEP Spokesman Phil Moye, the majority of homeowners in Wyoming County should have power back by Monday evening.
