W.Va. residents urged to report storm damage

Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin is encouraging West Virginians to report structural damage to homes and businesses from last week's Superstorm Sandy.

Tomblin said Thursday that damage reports should be made to county emergency management offices. They will in turn be submitted to the Federal Emergency Management Agency as part of the governor's request for a major federal disaster declaration.

If granted, the declaration would provide both public and individual assistance.
