RALEIGH COUNTY -

Social media and email combine together for a lot of temptation between coworkers and friends. What it means is now people have more ways to cheat. Life Strategies Therapist Hamlet Smith says there is one tell-all sign to look for when online communication goes too far.

"Anger is the number one thing to let you know that you're in trouble. If you're feeling angry a lot or your spouse is feeling angry a lot, chances are intimacy is breaking down," Smith said.

Smith says common sense is key.

"A good rule of thumb is if my husband or wife, boyfriend or girlfriend, were here and they were hearing me say or do what I just did or say. Would they think it was something that was crossing the line. If you want a truly intimate relationship, there shouldn't be a large area like face book or like email that is completely off limits to your spouse," Smith said.
