BLUEFIELD -

With Thanksgiving just a week away, the folks in Mercer County are putting the final touches on a holiday tradition.

It's the holiday Festival of Lights held at the Bluefield City Park.

Volunteers and city workers are twisting the final light bulbs to make sure everything is ready for the opening day on November 22nd.

This is a long standing holiday tradition for many families.

"I think its important because it is important for the people and it is important for Bluefield because it is something nice that we do for some many people and we have people come here from a one-hundred mile radius," Deb Sarver, Director said.

Donations are accepted to help keep this tradition going.
