Cause sought for fire at historic W.Va. home

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. (AP) -

Authorities are investigating a fire that damaged a historic home near Shepherdstown.

There were no injuries.

The Herald-Mail (http://bit.ly/TadUwc ) reports that the fire occurred early Thursday morning at the red brick home.

Jefferson County Historical Society spokesman Curt Mason says the home was built in the 1830s and was part of Rock Spring farm.
