BRADLEY -

Crews from the West Virginia Division of Forestry and two area volunteer fire departments work for a fourth day to contain a brush fire.

Bradley-Prosperity VFD, Assistant Fire Chief Bobby Palmer told 59News that the fire stretches across a ridge between Clear Fork Road and Sweeneysburg Road.  There was some concern from resident of the area that the fire threatened some home in the area.  Palmer said that was never the case.

The West Virginia Division of Forestry said the fire was 65-percent contained on Thanksgiving morning.  As of Wednesday officials said 40-60 acres had been burned.

Firefighters from Pax, Bradley and the West Virginia Division of Forestry have been working to put the fire out.  Efforts to contain the fire have been suspended each night at around 8 p.m. for safety reason, but crews were stationed on site through the night to monitor the fire.

Palmer told 59News that they expect to have the blaze completely contained by the evening hours of Thanksgiving day.
