CHARLESTON (AP) -

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (AP) - Motorists traveling West Virginia's highways soon will see signs publicizing the state's new 511 travel information system.

WTAP reports that the Department of Transportation plans to install the signs within the next month.

The Public Service Commission approved the 511 system in October. It will provide information about accidents, road construction and other events that affect traffic across the state.

DOT spokesman Brent Walker says the information will give travelers better choices and decisions.
