Chinese Parkway is One Couples Driveway

Elderly Chinese couple who refused to allow the demolition of their home end up living in the middle of a newly built road.

An elderly Chinese couple in Wenling, Zhejiang province, who refused to sign a demolition order on their house have seen their property surrounded by a newly built road.

According to neighbors - who have all moved - Luo Baogen and his wife said the government had not offered them enough compensation to rebuild their five storey house elsewhere.

Wenling is a city of 1.2 million in Zhejiang province, south of Shanghai.
