    Emergency responders were called to the scene of a train accident on Monday, May 20.  A person was apparently hit by a CSX train in a remote part of Fayette County.  The call came in at around 1:30 p.m.
    The victim was apparently covering her head with a blanket to shelter from the heavy rain storms.
CLARKSBURG -

Well-known Clarksburg painter Joseph Oliverio died at his home, Friday evening, according to an obituary prepared by Perine Funeral Home.

Oliverio, 55, ran Joseph Oliverio Painting company for many years.  He started in the painting profession at age 15.  Known by many, simply as "Joey O," he made the Superman logo his unofficial trademark in his television commercials.

Along with being known for his painting business, Oliverio also ran for governor, as a Republican, on a number of occasions.

A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, in Clarksburg.  Interment will follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery, also in Clarksburg.

Oliverio is survived by his parents and three daughters.
