PERSINGER -

The Nicholas County Sheriff's Department spent part of Saturday evening pursuing a pair of men who allegedly stole a pick up truck.

West Virginia State Trooper and law enforcement officers with the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources joined deputies as they chased the truck down Route 41 from Persinger to the community of Muddelty.

John Frame, 28, of Summersville and J.W. Shortridge, 33, of Mt. Lookout were arrested when the officers caught up with them.  The two were charged with a variety of crimes connected to the pursuit.

Frame is being held in the Central Regional Jail on a $200,000 bond.  Shortridge has been released.
