Major upgrades coming to the city of Beckley!
Flooding has been a problem for sometime on Ewart Avenue and Robert C. Byrd Drive and now an 8-hundred thousand dollar project could help change all that.
Money coming from the West Virginia Conservation Agency, Beckley Sanitary Board and the Southern Conservation District, is funding a storm water detention pond.
Officials say it's going to make the roads safer for drivers.
Drivers can expect to enjoy these new improvements by the spring of 2013.
