West Virginia Wesleyan College will participate in the West Virginia Neighborhood Investment Program.

The college received $55,700 in West Virginia Tax Credits for its West Virginia Opportunity Scholarship Program, which provides financial assistance to students attending Wesleyan from Barbour, Braxton, Fayette, Gilmer, Greenbrier, Lewis, Nicholas, Pocahontas, Randolph, Tucker, Upshur, and Webster counties that are at or below 125 percent of the federal poverty level.

Tax credits are awarded at a rate of 50 percent.  A $1,000 donation for example will result in tax credits of $500.
