FAYETTEVILLE -

A sentencing is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 3 in an embezzlement case out of Fayette County.

Karen Brandstetter will be sentenced for taking $73,000 from Fayette Physical Therapy.  The sentencing will be happening in Judge Hatcher's courtroom.

Brandstetter's crime apparently came to light during the probe of Micah Feltner.  He is the former sheriff's deputy accused of stealing nearly $400,000 from the Oak Hill Fire Department.

In a story from the 59News Archives, James Harris, co-owner of Fayette Physical Therapy, said Brandstetter walked out of the office when she was confronted with the results of the audit of financial records.  Brandstetter worked for Harris for 17 years.
